The Qatar National Vision QNV2030 outlines a bold vision aspiring to Qatar’s future growth and development that is supported by four main principles: sustainable human development, sustainable social development, sustainable economic development and environmental sustainability.

The 2015 Paris Agreement, an agreement within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) achieved during the Conference of Parties (COP21) in Paris, France, that outlines the commitment by 195 nations to deal with greenhouse-gas-emissions mitigation, adaptation, and finance, starting in the year 2020 to stop global warming. Qatar signed the Paris Agreement on April 22, 2016 and ratified it on June 23, 2017.

The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), otherwise known as the Global Goals, are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. These 17 Goals include climate change, economic inequality, innovation, sustainable consumption, peace and justice, among other priorities. The goals are interconnected – often the key to success on one will involve tackling issues more commonly associated with another.
